The Second Brain System

How I automated my entire workflow without burning out.

Three projects. A full-time job. A media brand with 10K+ followers. And zero burnout. Here's the system that makes it possible.

The Problem

Context switching kills productivity. Every time you switch tasks, you lose 23 minutes to refocus. With multiple projects, that's hours lost daily.

The Solution

I built a custom system that acts as my external memory. It knows:

  • What I'm working on
  • What's next
  • What I forgot about
  • What needs attention

The Architecture

Capture Everything

Every idea, task, or note goes into the system immediately. No mental load.

Process Daily

Each morning, the system surfaces what needs attention. I review, prioritize, and execute.

Automate Tracking

Time spent, tasks completed, goals progress — all tracked automatically.

Review Weekly

Every Sunday, the system generates a report. What worked. What didn't. What to change.

The Tech Stack

  • Next.js for the interface
  • Redis for sessions
  • JSON files for data (simple, portable)
  • Cron jobs for automation
  • Telegram for notifications

Your brain is for having ideas, not holding them. Externalize everything.
